The Puppet Patch

The Lion's Den
"We interrupt this TV Dinner for a special news bulletin. I'm Larry
LivingGood. We're here in a lion's den with a man who need no introduction, but I'll introduce him anyway. This is Daniel. I have been given assurances that I am perfectly safe. DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME!! Lions are very dangerous animals. Daniel, can you tell us a little bit about how you came to be here?
Daniel - Well, there's this king. His name is Darius. A while ago he conquered Babylon. We Israelites were slaves in Babylon at the time and so we became slaves of Persia (That's the country Darius is king of). Well, some of the kings friends knew that I pray to God every day, three times in fact. They didn't like me very much and so they came up with a plan to get rid of me. They told Darius to make a law that people could only pray to him. If anyone prayed to anyone else they would be killed. Well, I only pray to God and so I did. That's when they threw me in here.
Larry - So what happened next?
Daniel - Nothing.
Larry - Nothing? What do you mean?
Daniel - Nothing happened. God shut the mouths of the lions and they left me alone. Nothing happened. God saved me. You know...the usual. Isn't it great?
Larry - It sure is!
Darius - Daniel!! Servant of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually been able to deliver you from the lions?
Daniel - Well, Larry, its been good talking to you, but I've got to go. You can read the rest of what happens here in the book I'm writing. Later.
Larry - Well, you heard it all here. God has saved his servant. He really looks out for his children. Well, this has been Larry LivingGood. We now return you to your regularly scheduled Microwave dinner. God Bless."
